Star Trek The Original Series Captain's Chair Replica

Firstly, a huge personal thank you to the great Steve Neill. I cannot thank him enough for his friendship and knowledge sharing, which truly made this all possible! Dream come true for this fanboy! LLAP.

These are the highlights from the build:
Made principally from plywood. The base pedestal and main console are painted in the original Gravity grey.
Pedestal is carpeted as per the latter part of season 2, when they decided that the chair was getting a little scuffed from all the action. Personally, I think it's a plush touch! Looks so much better ;)
The classic 60's coloured gumdrops are all cast from master molds in Clearcast epoxy.
The main console is all wired for LED lights.
Also includes 11 sounds from the series, all triggered through the switches via the onboard sound card. So much fun!

The chair itself is also mounted on a self centring swivel plate.

I can tell you it is very comfy! :)))
